I recently received this Google Home Mini as part of a Thanksgiving Collaboration with Google and I am obsessed with it. I keep it in my photo studio and am constantly asking it to play music, tell me the time, the weather, you name it all. This isn’t the kind of item I would buy for myself but would be happy to receive. So it’s a great surprise item to gift to someone. 7. Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 - $59 ON SALE!

My first ever camera was an instant film camera. So I guess you could say I have been a fan of instant film for a long time. I picked up the Fujifilm Instax 8 a couple of years ago to relieve some childhood memories of my once beloved Izone camera. I now have a collection going of these cute little photographs. Something we just don’t have enough of in this digital age. Like books, having them on your computer just isn’t the same. There’s something so fun about having these items to collect and hold onto. All products are products I genuinely enjoy or would not otherwise be sharing.

  • Overtone

    Overtone

You may be familiar with the brand Overtone through their Facebook ads. I know that’s where I heard of them. If you are or ever were a mystical haired girl or boy you probably reacted to their products the same way I did yelling “Its about time!” For those of you who aren’t familiar with the magic that is Ovtertone. Their products are non-damaging color depositing conditioners. They are sulfate-free, paraben-free, amonia-free, cruelity-free, and vegan. These products are great for those with already colored hair who want to hold onto their color longer. Without taking a freezing shower or skipping one altogether. It can also be used to add color to your hair though it is not a dye and I personally would recommend coloring it with a dye first.

I reached out to the Overtone team and they were awesome enough to send me their daily conditioner and deep treatment to try out. The woman I spoke to recommended I try the teal. Which I agree was the perfect fit for my hair color.

The products arrived in a classic gray box with a clever message on the inside, and a list of instuctions (as pictured below). I began by using the Extreme Teal Deep Treatment. Applying it onto my hair dry hair as opposed to damp as this is recommended to get you the most vibrant color. The first thing I noticed about this product was how thick the consistency was. I was happy about this since my experience with runny dyes and treatments has never been great (it gets real messy). I covered my hair from my roots to a couple inches past my ears. Since my ends were still a pretty dark blue. I probably could have covered my entire head with the amount in the container. Though I would recommend a second container just in case for my long haired girls and boys.

The product has a minty smell to it which I found quite nice. Though it definitely had me craving some spearmint gum afterward. I washed it out of my hair after the recommended 10-15 minutes. Once my hair was dry my color looked back to its original shade. In the weeks following, I used the Extreme Teal Daily Conditioner every time I washed my hair. Sometime applying it dry and other times damp. My bangs are still slightly more faded than the rest of my hair, understandably since they are the part that needs to most attention. But the conditioner has definitely helped hold my overall hair color and keep it looking vibrant. I’ve been getting compliment after compliment on my hair since using this product and have even noticed my hair looking shinier and overall healthier.

After trying out these products I would highly recommend them. They are definitely a new staple in my hair routine. If you are still a little unsure even after reading this they do offer a sample size product priced at $8. Great for those of you who aren’t sure if you want to commit to a full sized bottle before trying it out.  Make sure to let me know if you do try it!

  • Deluvia Skincare & Cosmetics

    Deluvia Skincare & Cosmetics

After just turning 25 skincare products have jumped up on my list of necessary cosmetic items. Those fine lines are starting to show and now’s the time to make a real difference. So when Deluvia reached out to me I was excited to try out some natural skincare and cosmetic products. It is important to me that the skincare products I use are natural and do not irritate my skin. As I believe products with unnatural ingredients can damage skin and often irritate it as well. Read below to hear about what products I tried and my thoughts on them.

    Deluvia Miracle Aloe Cream

Their Miracle Aloe Cream is a scentless, all natural product, containing organic aloe. I love that it has aloe vera in it. I’ve found the healing properties of aloe to be great for my skin. So far I love this product, I have felt a difference since using it. Leaving my skin feeling much softer and smoother than before. I’ve even used it on a new tattoo to help in the healing process. I would definitely repurchase this product.

    Demure Mineral Matte Lips

Demure offers 7 mineral matte lip shades. Each containing vitamin e and avocado oil to keep your lips hydrated and smooth. I went with the color “Doll Face” thinking it would pop nicely against my blue hair. I found the color to be slightly more coral than I expected. Enjoying the shade nonetheless. I would compare the consistency to that of NYX’s liquid lipsticks. Quite creamy, smelling a bit of vanilla, and keeping your lips moisturized. Would love to try out this product in another color.

    Demure Mineral Foundation

This mineral foundation is made with 100% pure crushed minerals from the earth contains zinc: a soothing ingredient with sun-protecting benefits. This product is not tested on animals and contains no chemicals or harmful preservatives. This is a light weight foundation offering great coverage. There was definitely a noticeable difference to my skin when wearing it as opposed to only wearing my liquid foundation.

I rarely use powder foundations these days. But they can be nice for setting makeup and even make a shiny lip color matte. I thought it would be nice to try out a natural powder foundation even just to have it on hand on the rare occasion I need it. I chose the color “Light” which is slightly too dark for my skin tone. But not too noticeably dark.

    Demure Mineral Concealer

This mineral concealer in mint is meant to diminish the look of redness and rough spots. Just like the mineral foundation this product is made with 100% pure crushed minerals from the earth and contains zinc. This product is not tested on animals and contains no chemicals or harmful preservatives.

As someone with a lot of red in my skin, I love the green foundation. I like to put the concealer on before my liquid foundation. That way the two mix together a bit and the mint concealer doesn’t just sit on top of my skin. I can see this becoming a daily product of mine.

  • Power Up: Trail Mix

    Power Up: Trail Mix

I had the pleasure of trying out all 8 of Power Up's trail mix packs. Big thank you to Power Up for sending me these. As someone who spends time hiking around the woods taking photos, I love to have trail mix on hand. It’s both healthy and delicious. Plus there are so many varieties of trail mix it’s hard to get sick of it. Power Up’s trail mix packs are all natural, vegan, and gluten-free. Each one contains an abundance of dried fruit. That being anything from the classic trail mix ingredient: raisins to the slightly more unique ingredient: papaya. So if you are a lover of raisins, cranberries, dried papaya, blueberries, mango, and pineapple. I would highly recommend their trail mix.

I was especially excited to try Antioxidant Mix, High Energy, and Protein Packed. Antioxidant Mix has two of my favorite trail mix ingredients: chocolate and pecans. High Energy sounded great to me as I am always trying to keep my energy up throughout the day. Lastly, as a vegetarian Protein Packed sounded like a great mix to have on hand for extra protein. • Panty Fresh Review

    Panty Fresh Review

Panty fresh is a new 4-in-1 feminine hygiene product for women that comes in a cute little pink box. Included in this box are a pair of seamless panties in your choice of bikini or thong and your color choice of nude, black, or white and ranging in sizes 0-18. As well as a feminine fresh wipe, panty liner and a wash me bag.

Since I enjoy tight fitting clothing, while underwear shopping I am always looking for underwear that won’t leave panty lines. Seamless panties are always the best option. I compared Panty Fresh panties to mall bought seamless panties I own and I can say they both do the trick and are comparable comfort wise. Though there is a difference in quality. I recently had a pair of my mall ones tear on me. Based on the fabric and construction of the Panty Fresh panties I don’t see that happening with them.

I love that you get some extra goodies with this pair of underwear. The wash me bag is the one I enjoy the most. It’s perfect for anyone who works out or attends festivals such as myself. You can slip them into your bag after a days use without worry. Plus they will be easy to find when it comes time to wash them since they are in such a bright bag. I can’t tell you how many pairs of black panties I have misplaced because they blend in with everything. When in comes to panty liners and feminine fresh wipes they aren’t something I use regularly. But they are nice to have on hand for the days that you need them. I know I’ll be carrying them around in my purse until I do.

So if you are looking for a good pair of no show panties that are going to last you a while. Or a compact product you can easily throw in a suitcase or gym bag. I recommend you give these a try. Panty Fresh is also donating $1 to Autisum Awareness/Research for every social media post with the hashtag #PantyFreshGivesBack.

  • PotionPVD: Handcrafted Elixirs

    PotionPVD: Handcrafted Elixirs

When I was around 15 I walked into a Victoria’s Secret with my best-friend. I recall there being a 3 for $25 deal with their perfumes, body sprays and shea butter. Not wanting to buy the same perfume everyone else was wearing at the time “Love Charm” I chose “Secret Charm” and it has been my go to perfume ever since. Sadly the bottle has only a couple more wears left in it, pretty crazy it has any seeing it's almost 10 years old. It is almost 10 years later and I being different in many ways I have been looking for a new signature perfume.

I have accumulated a collection of mini perfumes mostly consisting of celebrity ones that I wear on occasion. But most of them are far too strong and give me a headache after wearing them. Not to mention none of the scents really fit me all too well. So when PotionPVD wanted to send me one of their products I was ecstatic!

PotionPVD's products are handcrafted botanically based elixirs and they do not test on animals. All of their perfumes include crystal infused distilled H2O, and as a crystal lover, I am all about this. After reading each of the perfume descriptions I decided on their Citrine Perfume. It is described as “Grounding, energizing and life giving” and contains organic vodka, citrine infused distilled H2O, grapefruit essential oil, vanilla essential oil, and camphor essential oil. Something I thought sounded perfect for me, and I was right. I love the smell. It is very citrusy which I adore. The scent isn’t so overpowering that it gives me a headache or that someone could smell me from across the room.

They were kind enough to send me their Lavender Vanilla Lip Balm as well. Immediately after putting it on I felt a difference in my lips and they have looked great since using it. You don’t need to pack a ton on either which is always nice. I am loving both of these products and I can’t wait to try more.

  • Caseapp Review

    Caseapp Review

Have you heard of Caseapp? They are a Swedish brand that offers custom phone cases and laptop skins. I had a lot of fun creating a case and skin for myself. I started by painting a cactus and moon watercolor. Cutting them out and laying them on top of some pink paper and photographing them. Finally, I uploaded my image to the Caseapp site, adjusted it and Caseapp did the rest. If you aren’t into the whole DIY design thing don’t worry, there are plenty of cute designs they have to choose from.

If you are like me and usually use heavy duty protective cases. This slick style might be a bit to get used to. But I must say it has been nice to have something slicker that I can easily slip into my back pocket. Plus I now have a unique case that I can tell people I designed myself. How cool is that?

Think you might be interested in grabbing a case or laptop skin of your own? Make sure to use my 20% discount code: KTEUTENBERGPHOTO20
